The long weekend is here!
Long weekend… oh how I love thee.
The hubby and I came back to my parent’s house for the weekend. There is just something about being home that is comfy and full of warm fuzzies.
These thoughts sort of spurred the creation of this little printable. Since my Valentine’s Subway art is still up (shame, shame) I think I’ll put this one up in its place.
This image was formatted to fit a 5×7 frame. Feel free to take and print for yourself!

I love to dress up. Halloween, costume parties, anything with a theme… and especially when it’s a group thing. So needless to say, I was pretty stoked when friend’s Bachelorette party this weekend provided an opportunity for just that!
I created the images in Photoshop and uploaded them into a Word document. Then, I printed them on iron-on transfer sheets and ironed them on to some plain white t-shirts. They turned out pretty cute! Check ‘em out:
For the Bride:

And her Entourage:

If you are interested, here are the printables for ya:
TIP: When you print, remember to print a mirror image of the file, so that it will iron it on the right way (I may or may not have ironed on a backwards image once or twice…) If you don’t know how, just (1) Click Print and go into Layout and (2) click “flip horizontally” – it will print a mirror image.
There you go! Hope you enjoy the matching t-shirts as much as I do… :)

As I was trying to think of a clever post title – you know, a play on Easter words or something – Rapper’s delight came into my head. Apparently, in my mind’s word association game, “hop” leads to “oldschool rap.”
Anywho… I made Easter cupcakes (recipe here), complete with cupcake toppers! This was my first venture in the cupcake topper world. As I was making them, though, the hubby was confused. He wanted to know why I would put “giant signs” (his words) into the cupcakes. He didn’t understand. (He later understood when I showed him the finished product. But that may or may not have had to do with the fact that he was eager to eat said product.)
There are so many cute printables out there for cupcake toppers, but I decided to make my own because I wanted the colours to match my cupcake liners (which were blue, pink and purple). I went simple with it, but I think they turned out pretty cute.
Used a 1.5 inch circle punch to cut ’em out.
Then I punched out some plain ol’ white ones to glue to the back.
Cut some bamboo skewers in half and voila!

I have decided that every holiday should have cupcakes. Don’t you think?
So it turns out I love playing around with Photoshop! I am starting to think I might be able to cross that one off my list…
I made one of these for Valentine’s, and I love how it looks on my mantel! (Yes, I said looks – I haven’t yet taken it down from Valentine’s day… shame, I know.)
It’s formatted to fit a 5×7 frame, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t print it larger. Last time I ordered it through a local photofinishing place and just made sure I asked for “no colour corrections,” as I wanted to keep the colours as I saw them on the screen!
